Nestled in the red scalds of Knox County, Benjamin, the county seat, is a small farming and ranching commmunity located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 82 and State Highway 6 in northwest Texas.
Here, mesquites are bountiful, cowboys and horses are the norm, the scenery will transport you back to a time of untouched beauty and the sunsets rival those in any tropical locale.
This close-knit community of approximately 264 citizens is steeped in western history and flanked by famed ranches, including the Spike Box Ranch and the Moorhouse Ranch.
The area is rich in wildlife and well-known for hunting and hunting leases.
The town, on the cusp of rejuvination, is a Mayberry-esque destination, not too far from the beaten path, and a wonderful, safe place to set down roots and raise children or retire.
